As principal and founder of Sage, Barbara Alevras, PMP, uses her extensive experience in strategy, marketing, project, and operations management to help you launch new initiatives or save those in trouble. She partners with you to achieve your strategic goals and specializes in moving initiatives forward in challenging environments.
Corporate Experience
In 2003, Barbara Alevras, PMP, founded Sage Consulting Services to offer strategy execution and project management services to small businesses and non-profits.
Prior to establishing Sage, Barbara worked at an international financial services firm. During her 10½ years with the company, she managed hundreds of product development and implementation projects with many of the largest insurance companies in North America. She also managed several operations departments, including a national call center that serviced 120 corporate clients and 49,000 account holders representing $8 billion in assets.
For the next 3½ years, Barbara worked at a multi-national technical consulting company to improve and oversee an ISO 9001-compliant methodology. She facilitated senior management's judicious response to more than 120 large and complex public sector (government) opportunities annually. During her tenure there, the process improvements she implemented resulted in eliminating all technical consulting project losses.
Throughout her time working in large global companies, Barbara designed and delivered professional training to hundreds of entry-to-executive level employees located throughout North America. She also developed successful marketing communications strategies for corporate and non-profit entities.

Additional Background Information
How Sage Consulting Services Came to Be
Soon after September 11, 2001, Barbara left the corporate world and spent two years serving on three non-profit boards, pursuing additional professional/academic certifications and credentials, and examining her professional goals. She also provided pro bono Mastermind Group facilitation services to dozens of mid-to-senior level professionals in transition.
In 2003, Barbara launched her own business, Sage Consulting Services, to provide strategy execution, project management, and marketing support services. In 2009, after mastering several innovative social media tools and tactics, Barbara added social media consulting and management programs to Sage's list of offerings. In 2010, she launched a popular Mastermind Group program.

In the Land of Academia
Barbara has a degree in History from the University of New Hampshire. Her post-graduate education includes coursework in marketing, statistics, quantitative analysis, and management theory.
In addition to earning her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, she earned a graduate certificate in marketing with honors from the New England College of Finance and three additional masters' certificates in advanced applied project management from Villanova University.
Most recently, after experimenting with several social media dashboard applications, she selected Hootsuite as her preferred tool and became certified as a Hootsuite consultant.
